I’ve been writing most of my life, spending 35 years as a journalist in the greater New York area, working for everything from a suburban newspaper to a wire service to financial newspapers and magazines, most of the latter in Manhattan. I’ve read great literature and have an abiding love for words and turns of phrase. My view is eclectic, and so are my novels: a historical fiction, a psychological thriller, and a financial thriller larded with satire aimed at the rich and privileged. My work as a financial writer and editor informed the last; my background as a history major at Princeton prompted the first. I write not only for my own sense of self but to entertain, to engage, to keep people guessing – the things that keep readers turning the pages.
